Features
Anvil is a feature rich theme, and designed for use not only off the shelf, but as a platform for creating new looks, colour schemes and styles.
Two Widget Spaces
With two widget spaces, one in the sidebar, and one on the top right banner where you can put images, links or adsense, you can modify and customise the site as much as you like.
A Great Navigation Widget
The bonus navigation widget gives you a neater looking navigation block in the sidebar, as opposed to lots of independent widgets. More power to you!
Get The Fireworks png
We include our working Fireworks png file, which includes instructions to help you keep IE6 compatibility. You can change colours and designs easily if the fancy takes you.
Parameterised CSS
The css file is generated from php, which means you can change colours simply by changing some easy parameters.
You Want Colour Changes?
Because of what we supply, you can effectively modify Anvil to any colour scheme you desire.
Check out Sniff Petrol’s site, which has quite a few custom parts to it, to see a variation in design and colouring to suit their image.
Great Browser Compatibility
We’ve taken care to make sure the theme works on all the popular browsers, under all the main operating systems.
GPL Freedom
And last, but by no means least, the theme is licensed under Gnu GPL v3. That means you can do pretty much what you like with the theme. We do ask that you keep the credit link, but there’s no compulsion to do so. GPL means freedom!
Other Stuff
You also get the usual bits and bobs - author comment highlighting, highlighting of the current page or category the visitor is sitting in and so on. If there’s anything like to see in any of our future themes - just let us know!
All in all, you’re getting one of the most flexible GPL themes out there, designed especially for the enthusiast blogger, hacker or designer who may well want to adjust their style, but without having to spend an age worrying about cross-browser compatibility. We put a lot of effort into this theme and would love to see how it’s used. If you’ve used the theme on your own site, let us know via the contact form and we’ll publicise the best on this website.
